I probably go through two bottles a year. The back to black stuff I don't like as much because it tends to run and streak. Maybe I just need to buff it better...

I am not sure if lexol has UV protectant qualities, but I do know that 303 does for sure.

I didn't mean to say "back to black", I am using "Forever Black", it has dyes in it and is silicone free, it is supposed to be much better, but I haven't tried it yet.

Back to Black is a really *****ty product. I had high hopes, but the first application faded quicker than a light dusting of Armor-All. I will have to try some of this Forever Black.

Just in case these products reach you guys - avoid anything with Valma written on it...

I found mine at a 4 wheel sports store. If you go on their website they have a list of dealers who have it. I still haven't used it yet, will probably use it when I detail my car this weekend.

I remove the carpets, vacuum under them and shake them outside and then vacuum. Dust the entire interior then go over with Meguirs natural shine/protectant. The seats get their monthly Lexol treatment. I need floor mats still(coco please) so I shampoo the front carpets once a month as well. After everything is wiped with the UV protectant I clean all of the wood with furniture polish. The glass is done on the inside and out. I clean the door jambs, wax them. Polish the chrome in the door jambs and on the interior.

I also use a toothbrush to clean the hard to reach areas between the seat tracks every now and then. Then when all of that is done I put the carpets back. Spritz the interior with some Poor Boys World Leather scent and seal up the car.

Just this past week I removed the battery and battery tray and cleaned all of that out as well. I cleaned all of the dirt and grime. Waxed and sealed the paint, cleaned the drains and put the battery tray and battery back .No pics of the rest since the dirties part was the hydraulic pump area. Everything was cleaned and waxed.

everything was wiped down with 303 as well

The weekend before that I removed everything in the trunk, including the liners and cleaned the hydraulic pump area since one of the trunk vents came loose.

everything was cleaned as best as possible. That black bracket will be coming off soon and get sand blasted and repainted.

I take my cleaning very serious. For the Lake Mirror Car show I went all out. I think next time I will fabricate some stands so I can show off the wheel wells and how clean they can be for a daily driver. Yes, I have spent time to clean and detail parts of the car no one ever sees.
Niiice! I am picky, too, but getting lazier the older I get. It's really hard to keep you car looking that good during the Winter if you live in the colder climes, especially if it's your daily driver.

I used to be this way. No time anymore I mean the cars aren't a mess I keep them vacuumed and washed but not showroom clean.

I have a hard enough time keeping up with the maintenance on the fleet. Which reminds me, the motor on the Jag still needs to be polished for a show this weekend

You're not saying that spit-shining the exhaust system is obsessive, are you?? And I thought that everybody waxed their lawnmowers and BBQ grills.

Products:::

This thread made reference to prods I've never heard about, such as "303." So, what does it look like (pics, anyone???) and where, on the open market can someone purchase these?

Also, how 'bout black kiwi for the fading bumpers?

Boot polish on bumpers eh? Second hand car salesman trick - not good for rubber.

The good stuff is here
