Looking after rubber - POR-GLO?

G'day All,

Has anyone got any experience with POR-GLO for looking after rubber?

http://www.por15.com/POR-GLO/productinfo/VRH/

Most people seem to be fans of 303 Aerospace but I'm having trouble getting hold of that over here.

Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give.

Try the R.V. places for the 303. Also try the boat dock yards.

POR? Is that the same POR that makes the POR15 rust inhibitor?

POR GLO

It's self described as ,"Bright Luster Clear Coat for External Vinyl."

I doos believe I be stickin wif de 303 since it can be used on Rubber and Vinyl
,inside and out.

Although the Vinylex does a nice job, Too.

I had the same feeling about peeling coatings... I'm surprised nobody has tried it out though - not that I'm brave enough to do it just yet!

I use something called furni-gloss. I dont know if you guys could get it where you are.but its cheap and works frkn awesome on leather, wood and vinyl. Its red and has an oily texture. I also use it on my bumpers, it gives it a nice, healthy, deep looking shine. It only doesnt work on tyres.

I tried the POR-GLO on my bumper ends but it didn't look smooth and even. I ended up cleaning it off and saturating the pieces with 303 a few times. That made them look deep black and satiny.

Where the POR-GLO worked well was on the door handles. 2 coats of the POR-GLO made them look very dark a somewhat glossy again. It lasts a long time there too.

I just did a search and came across a site that imports the furnigloss.

Thanks JUNAID786 and Chad,

I'll have to pull my finger out and see if I can find more of these products here in Holland. If furnigloss is exported to the US then I guess it would get through European customs too.

JUNAID786 - do furnigloss say what's in their product on the back of the tin?
