Buffing out the windshield scratch...
Has anyone been successful in buffing out scratches out of the windshield glass?! The PO must have had a real bad wiper blade and allowed it to ride on the windshield and there is a decent scratch that goes from deep to light across one half of the windshield (passenger side).
WOuld like to try removing at least a portion of it if I can. Would rubbing with 1000 grit wet sandpaper do any good?! I've seen it done on headlight glass I think... James |
I have not used this stuff before - but I've bought loads of stuff from Eastwoods and so far their products do exactly what it says on the tin (or packet).
Take a look these beauties http://www.eastwood.com/autobody/plastic-glass-repair.html |
Thanks Army - this looks good.

Yeah, buffing out scratches is not something you want to get into.

most kits contain cerium- oxide paste for removing glass scratches and work well .
Plastic lens kit is a different formulation and procedure to remove dull finish due to ageing. regards A |
