zebrano wood trim

I have an '87 300E and I'm looking for zebrano wood trim to update the interior. Performance Products has this but it costs over $300. Another website called Autobahn International Motorsports has it for $158 (www.autob1.com), but I can't access this site. Does anyone know where I can get this at a reasonble price?

I too am interested in trim kits for my 89 300E (should have bought a 90 / 91??) anyway did a web search on Autobahn International Motorsports and came across the following... Now I've had not personal experience with Autobahn, but this post in addition to their site being "down" may suggest something. I've thought about cruising the junk yards, as I suspect that 90 and later door panels should be a direct replacement, and I believe wood was added in 90. Naturally finding time to cruise is the problem.

You might be interested in the following post on ebay. I bought a previous previous auction of this same item. A little different than the other kits running around I believe, as this goes on the lower part of the dash. Price is right though...

I should have added that I just won the auction and haven't received the trim yet. I'll post my impressions once I do get it.

Hi guys,

From looking at the image provided on ebay, the kit will not fit any US or Canadian spec. cars with automatic climate control.

Thanks

Auction states that it "does not include center console." I'm assuming (!) that means no center console wood, instead of no console itself. So I'm expecting the pieces to the left and right of the console, which should fit US spec. Expecting mine next week, will post a "review" when it arrives.

Sorry for the delay, was waiting for everything to sort itself out. The kit did not correctly fit my 300e, and I've returned it. They were very accomodating, but in the end I wasn't interested in trying a second kit. The kit consisted of stick on panels for the dash and doors. Not what I was personally looking for.

Yes. I was afraid of that. You get what you pay for, as the old saying goes. I understand Performance Products has the zebrano trim for roughly $400. This is a reputable catalogue, and I would trust their products. Thanks for the reply, though.

What's the part number at performance? I didn't see anything on their on-line catalogue.
Regards,
Mike.

It's not listed in their online catalogue. They send you a free catalogue, and it's in there. Call the 800# and ask about the trim, if you don't want to wait to receive the catalogue. It seems to be a reputable outfit. and I would trust their products.
