Seat dye

Does anyone have any experience in redyeing seats? I want to dye dark blue seats to a dark brown color (to match the interior). Is there any DIY friendly brush on product that you recommend?

SEM color coat. You can find it at places where they sell automotive paint. If you get the water based stuff (in a can rather then an aerosol) it should work quite well.

If your seats are leather, I'd call Leatherique or visit their site at leatherique.com The owner, John or George (I think), is a subject matter expert on dyes as well as cleaning and maintaining. He can supply the MB original color dye.

If MB Tex/vinyl, the suggestion from alabbasi about SEM is perfect. There is a surface prep spray that I've used and would get that too. Follow the directions on the can(s) to the letter for a proper job.
