Help! Melted Wax/Crayon Question

It looks like the previous owner of my E300D had kids because what appears to be a melted crayon is all over the rear console under the headrest. I didn't notice it when I bought it but I sure do now! Any suggestions on how to get this out without staining everything else around it?

Here's a pic of the damage.

Crayon stain

This post intriged me so I went and did some enqiries for you.I went to ASK JEEVES.COM ,and they came back with this:-

1. Scrape off excess wax/crayon with a dull knife and vacuum up.

2.Place absorbent paper over stain and apply a hot iron, replacing paper as it absorbs stain.

3.To remove colouring clean with alcohol and water mixture.

For any further advice try www.ask.co.uk Let us know how it turns out. BEAR
