have looked everywhere...

Hey guys, i've done searches on numerous forums and websearches and I still can't find a wood shiftknob for an 89 300SEL W126. There are wood shiftknobs on ebay but they say only until 88? Anyone know where I could purchase one? even better...one wood or not, with the mercedes emblem on the top, like the new slk's or clk's or whichever model has on their shiftknobs, that would be even better !

I'm not sure if they carry the specific model for your car but I do know that Adsit carries a variety of wooden shift knobs in Zebrano and Burl. I purchased one for my 190 and loved it. Check them out.

************************ has them.

They have solid wood zebrano and burl wood knobs.

They also have ones like your describing - burl or zebrano wood with leather top with the MB star on top.

I bought one yeserday at Performance Product's store in Van Nuys yesterday with Ernesto (Hi-Power). Cost me $79.00, model #6213, with wood base (burl or zebrano), leather on top (in many colors), and the star symbol on top in black and chrome.

There is another model that is listed at "from $139.00", #6157. They look exactly the same, so I don't know what the difference is.
