Rebuilding front seats W126

Need some info/advice on the W126 front seats, have a pair to restore the covers are mint but the underpadding is shot. I was looking through the russian parts pages etc and see only 3 parts to the bottom seat-spring and seat frame, padding, cover. My seats have recently new springs/bases with a Mercedes sticker on them but what is responsible for the pleats in the seats-the cover or the padding? I cannot envision what keeps each of the six pleats "puffed" up? Well, I could see individual strips of stuff sewn into each pleat but not sure how to fix if thats the case...
Also how do you decifer the part numbers for the padding-they show as many as 5 different versions for the 300SD, mbtex, leather, velour and then subnotes 1 and 2. I have mbtex but still more then one part number. Are they still available I guess is a bigger question???
THanks, Greg
