sunvisor repair
W123 model:
My sunvisor wont stay in the up positon or hold a position i place it in. It just hangs straight down. I have tried to put tape around the post it hangs on, to tighten it up,but it seems like the plastic piece inside the visor itself must be cracked? Is there some way to rig it? It is a rare color (bamboo) so finding one at PnP is unlikely. Plus mine is otherwise mint, so I would like to keep it if possible

Sunvisor repair
For what it's worth, I found exact-match vinyl paint for my 1987 300E at National Coatings and Supplies. I bought a sunvisor in mint condition that needed to be painted Shadow Blue. A few light coats and it was a perfect match. This was a spray paint made for vinyl and other plastics. Do the painting on a warm day, give it about 15 min to dry between coats and it works fine.
