Sun Visors.....Color Change.....Advice

I have a 1977 300D, Palomino. I just got some new sun visors, but they are a dark tan instead of palomino in color. I did a search and saw that http://www.leatherrepairkits.com/ has matched colors for Mercedes. I saw that they had an aerosol spray color as one of the individual items in their repair kit selection.

Just thinkin'.......order their aerosol, spray them and BINGO, new palomino sun visors.

Thoughts, Advice...

Thanks

JCD

The SEM aerosol is what most of the dismantlers use in my area for match. I've used it on different interior parts with success. FWIW. http://vinylpro.safeshopper.com/29/cat29.htm?275

color change

Years ago I had occasion to change a set of contoured seats from brown to black and the vinyl paint worked like magic and the seats remained black for years. When the brown color finally started to wear through, it looked like the leather seats when they change color at the cracks in the leather. I just did some rigid parts on my son's car and they came out great! Give it a try.

Results

I orders some vinyl dye/paint from World Upholstery see link. I ordered the custom color for my interior, Parchment.

http://www.worlduph.com/semdye.htm

I prepped with the sem cleaner and applied multiple coats of the dye/paint.

Bottom line, the sun visors look great. This stuff really works, honestly way beyond expectations.
