Question 303 Fabric Guard drying time?

I desperately need to apply this to my canvas top to "renew" the water repellancy of my top. The only problem is they state a 24 hour drying time and I can't get 24 hours of dry time here in NY. I'm stuck in a bad loop...can't put the water repellent on, need it 'cause of all the rain.

Can anyone tell me if 24 hours are really needed? Seems to me the 70 mile round trip commute I do would offer a pretty good blow dry...
