Headliner color from VIN?

Replacing the headliner in my 95. Trying to find out the color. Does anyone know if the headliner color can be decoded through the vin?

You could get the dealer to print out a data card, this will show many options / colors.

I've seen data codes in various places on the actual car.

Modern MB will have a stamped plate on the rad support or center top of bumper support. This mostly shows paint colors.

97 E320 , open the trunk then look under the package shelf / rear speaker area, there was a sticker showing option codes. I think there is a similar sticker on the floor under the rear seat.

97 C280 pulled the headliner and found a part number tag with the regular MB part format and a 4 place mix of letters / numbers, this would be the color code. There was also a paper tag that listed the option codes that would be on the data card.

Thanks! For as many times as I've looked at that plate, I never thought it might be paint codes.

If one has access to the EPC they could input their VIN and pull up their data card online. Usually if someone inputs their VIN and then looks through the EPC listings under the particular section it will show/list the vehicle specific replacement part so that might point to the specific original part spec as well.

Car is a 124 chassis, sometimes on the earlier ones at least you could often find a printed data strip up under the rear seat bottom, looks like it was placed there between the seat springs and the cushioning material as the interior was installed. Its usually about 8 inches long and an inch or so wide, light green printed grid with the specific numbers in each block space.

If you call the Classic Center with your VIN, they'll send you a copy of your datacard.
