Zaino, Klasse, Liquid Glass, or Finish First

Zaino, Klasse, Liquid Glass and Finish First all basically the same catagory of products.

Which is the best from your expereince? I am a Zaino user but thinking of buying and trying some Klasse. I have heard a LOT about Klasse and Zaino, but not so much about the other two.

How would you rate them, etc.?

these products merely dress your underlying paint- - if your have great paint, you'll undoubtly get a great finish with products in the premium wax/polish category

...if you're happy with a product - - stick with it- - and believe the rumor, , there's no such thing as magic in a bottle.

These guys that do the wax tests mean well, however I have yet to see the correct application and products used in the Meguiars tests.....I was one of the first 10 or so to ever post on this Forum and as I told Lee then and I will say it again.....

after car is preped (washed, clay bar, etc.)

1) Use Meguiars cleaner wax first, atleast one coat if not two.

2) Use Meguiars Gold Class as a top coat....multiple coats is fine.

An extreme wet look shine/gloss is the result.....period.

The above two products will cost you a wopping $15 at Walmart.(I think that is the reason people don't think it can be as awesome as it is!!!)

I have been detailing show cars with this combo since 1998 and the only time I get beat in the shine/wet look department is with a $10,000 new paint job.

I just wish the folks doing these test would test Meguiars correctly, that's all. I will admit the Klausse(sp?) results did impress me enough that I may try that myself!

Give the above Meguiars combo a try...and see what you think!!

Mike

I used Maguire's Gold Class liquid this week end - the results were great! I have tried other waxes -Excalibur, Turtle etc etc(but not Zaino or Klasse) and have had the best results with the least work with the Gold Class. I use a Wen buffer and get a great shine! It's a great product!

I use the Meguiars Gold Class liquid wax. I have had such awesome results with it since 1998, that I haven't seen a reason to switch....People always say: "Wow...How do you make your car look wet?"

I do everything by hand. I have heard of others that get great results using a machine too....

The key to success with Gold Class is PREP..... If you don't prep first you will have a hard time working with it. I do agree with others, that it does not last a long time. I put it on my 450 SL every 3 or 4 weeks, it takes me about an hour by hand.

I hope this helps...

Mike

I've used Liquid Glass in car shows...good for just that.

Impressive shine...until the first rainfall.

Pretty much everyone here swears by Zaino or Meguiars.

I purchased some KLASSE "all in one today" $19.00 and used it on my BMW 525, fire engine red, no clear coat. I had clayed about a month ago so the paint was fairly clean. I noticed light hazing and significant spider webbing. The KLASSE made a big improvemrnt, but I decided to experiment and go over the car with Scratch Out made by KIT. It's cheap and works great, very easy on and off.

The combination of the two worked really well. The spider webs were virtually gone, the color was much deeper and it really looked wet. I had some streaking on the horizontal panels. I'll try the water spray trick.

I give KLASSE high marks. it really made the paint look great!. I think the secret is to use very little, a small amount to apply, then turn the rag and rub lightly, then remove immediately with a clean terry cloth. It reminds me of Mequires #7, except it is supposed to protect the paint too.

What I really like is you don't have to worry about getting it on black trim ect. It actually makes it look better! They say you can actually put a cap full of it in water and wash your car with it. Good stuff!

Johnson,

I have not tried Zaino, I'm too lazy to buy anything I can't get at the store. i bought the KLASSE at the local Mercedes dealer.

I'd be curious to see the results from "The Wax Test". You might try KLASSE, id does a great job, I only used the "all in one". It reminds me a lot of Meguire's #7, except that it also protects the paint.

I'm not sure about mixing Meguires car wash with KLASSE to wash your car. I have tried and been happy with Eagle One's "wax as you dry" It does a very good job and three weeks after waxing, it took three washings with Dawn to get to where water wouldn't bead up.

On thewaxtest.com test, how did they prep Meguiars Gold Class?

I have not seen the latest test results, however the tests I have seen will show that every "step" is taken on the Zaino but when it comes to Gold Class, they just put it on.

I would be very interested in someone really doing some fair comparisons...

Mike
