Odd Damage Paint
Like to address the lack luster paint on the roof, since the rest is so nice.
Having owned a black wagon (Volvo 245) know the really dark colors can either look great or look terrible. Like to see if can get her looking great, but know the risks. Can the roof be polished? My fear is blowing through to the green layer. Also, what is going on with the rear fender corner? Filler, right? Thank y'all for any help!

The clear is compromised. Nothing you can do for it but repaint. Yup, looks as though the rear corner has been repaired.

Still worth trying to polish IMHO. My SDL looked WAY worse than yours and after a few hours of work with the polisher, it looks pretty darn good. No amount of polishing will take out the clear coat failure on the hood or the "delightful" message I found keyed in the trunk lid, but the car looks presentable until I can afford to have it painted (in the distant future).
You'd be surprised what a good polish and wax will do though.

Actually, seen Rustoleum Clear do amazing results, but yes, just a stop gap. Okay, was planning before that need body and at least the roof repainted. Now know will then have to add that corner to the list.

My friend surprised us by dropping off some parts using his Audi A4. The shop that washed and waxed it made a mess out of the back roof, dull and chalky. Today see that it has a nice shine and deep. Apparently that same shop fixed it, despite us both thinking nothing could be done. Point is, now seeing this and your example, agree: just give it a try and if mess it up, throw some wax on to protect, no worse than before. People are real jerks now a days. Someone carved all the way to bare metal a huge swastika on Oma's '84 Mercury hood.
