Resurrecting interior carpet pieces in W123
Hey everyone,
The interior carpets on my '82 280TE wagon are in need of a little work. The carpet itself is fine, but the sound deadening/foam stuff underneath is all flaking away and coming off. As a result the mats just don't sit well which is a bit of a shame. I was thinking of going to a home audio store to buy some of that self adhesive sound deadening stuff to replace the old stuff on my car. Any other ideas for what I could do? Thanks! |

BenA105, if you don't mind spending some money I suspect that your local MB dealer could supply you all new, original quality carpet for your wagon. You could also call some of the MB dealers who offer wholesale prices to their customers.

Go to a home carpeting store and purchase foam padding for home carpet. Use fabric adhesive (3M) to adhere the foam padding to your existing carpet.
