I just got done painting my car and I am putting it back together but I don't have any thing to hold the number plate (280 CE) on the trunk in place. I've tried looking for the clips or whatever is supposed to be used and I can't find anything not to mention I don't know what I'm even looking for. Can someone please tell me where I can get these or a part number so I can see if eBay has something. Also if someone has a pic that would be great because like I said I don't even know what the clips look like. Thanks

As far as I know the emblem has an adhesive backing. Unless you have holes in the trunk lid for clips, that's the same for your car. You may want to call your local MB dealer and ask if they sell a double-sided adhesive for that purpose, or a new emblem. You could also ask at a local body shop.

The emblem has 4 posts coming off it that match up with holes in the trunk. I just didn't know if anybody has any experience with these and if so was it glued on with the double sided tape or clips

There were 3 plastic caps that fit onto those pins from the inside. The classic center can probably help you snag them.
