Instrument Cluster Paint Color
I have already removed the clear plastic. Would duplicolor flat black vinyl paint match with other things around it like the air vent frames pretty well? Has anybody painted the black interior trim items and if so how did it turn out?

That would probably be okay to use. Take a look at the link below; we have a section specifically for interior paints. Please let us know if you have any questions!

If anything, the instrument binacle is a dark taupe kinda color that itself doesn't really match with the rest of the black plastics in the dash, but personally I like it.
I've had good results with Duplicolor Vinyl/Fabric paint. It's a nice neutral black, not bluish/purplish like some can be. I'm going to paint a steering wheel boss with it soon and will post a pic of it against the interior of the W201. |

I'm kinda confused by this pic too, but you can at least see how the color and finish matches the W201 interior. I think it works well. The texture on the boss is not from the Duplicolor Vinyl & Fabric paint. It came crinkled, only not very well, so I had to sand the irregularities and spray with another texture coat. It's a blend of the two.
