Warning! about buying carpet on eBay from Netherlands company

Bought a new set in February 2017 installed in May 2017 never used the car and carpet has already starting to deteriorate where is exposed to sunlight.
It is crumbling to the touch.

I also contacted them (I am assuming it's the same folks) and apparently there is a difference between "Feintuft" Velour and the "Velour" they sell. It was purely an accident I discovered the difference. So, another thing to consider. And yes, I never got a real response as to the difference between the two.

You have the problem too?
They emailed back once and are no longer responding.
I just will have to remove their junk and sew my own carpet from better quality materials. some good Marine carpet, and vinyl foot padding at driver area.
That's what I get for buying things on eBay.

Don't blame eBay. Their buyer/seller protection is quite good. As a matter of fact, I was told by a highly unscrupulous member of this forum that I should understand the difference between buying from him and from eBay when I was unsatisfied with the condition of parts I bought (see sig).

Not a problem. I never ordered because I inadvertently discovered from them that they DO NOT sell Feintuft velour. They sell a "velour". I did ask them for an explanation as to what the difference is. I never got it. I was offered free samples which I declined since I would not order from them. So, I did find that odd.

So they are now replying to my emails stating they have not had this problem before and will come up with a solution.
(Will see what happens)

Just to be clear, we are talking about Ricambi-Automobilia here?

I have been very close to purchasing their w115 loop carpet.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-W114-W115-Sedan-200-220-230-250-280-BLACK-LOOP-CARPET-SET-LHD-RHD-/311960007278?hash=item48a243f26e:g:XTEAAOSwMgdX0of9&vxp=mtr

Their reviews are generally quite positive. This is the first I have heard of problems. Please keep us posted. Thanks.

Yes They have now replied and stating they will come up with a solution.
They do have good feedback and good prices.
So I think maybe they got a bad batch of fabric from their supplier.

I will not buy carpet from them any more.
I have 3 other cars to do too!
Just will have to remove and sew it on my own with marine carpet material.
