W201 190D door weatherstripping fabric loose...?!

On my W201 190D the door weatherstripping fabric has come loose and hanging off on one side. Its very thin fabric. I tried a hot melt glue gun but it did not last long. Any other ways to correctly repair this? Fabric glue perhaps?

I had the same issue on the driver's door of my W124. I didn't have any adhesives on hand (and didn't feel like masking off the area for a spray adhesive)... so I had a fairly new tube of black, hi-temp silicone sealant on hand. I smeared a thin layer on the rubber seal, then pulled the fabric over it. I used some painter's tape to hold the cloth down, then shut the door. 5 hours later, I opened the door, removed the tape and it held. That was six weeks ago and we've had some blistering hot days here in the South East. Hasn't come undone yet. YMMV
