Question Squeaky seats

When driving my '86 420 SEL the leather seats are very noisy. I have squeakin' and rubbin' sounds. How on earth do I get the ride quieter? I have the seats detailed and have fed the leather but I still have a noisy ride. Anybody have this problem?

Thanks!

Are you sure it's not the springs in the seat squeakin?

I rode in an '86 300E today (you know who you are), and the seats squeaked whenever we hit a bump on the freeway...

Springs?

No...it doesn't sound like springs. When the car is full of people (5), the sound is still there. So the seats aren't bouncing.

It sounds like the leather. Where leather has a groove, crevice or two pieces rubbing together.

Mine does this, it's the sound of the leather, kind of like a saddle. Believe it or not, you paid extra for that. Think of it like a yacht creaking as it sails across the water.

You're kidding...

You're kidding...I've got to deal with that. I guess I'm gonna have to lubricate everything and hope that I get it. It also sounds like it happens in the door jams too.
