armrest and door handle leather/ steering wheel

I have noticed that on my '94 E320 the leather on the armrest is stained pretty badly from elbows being constantly put on it, and the door handle (not the one that opens the door, but the fixed leather handle to close the door) is pretty dirty too. Does anyone know of a really good way to clean the door handle?

As for the armrest, what sorts of solutions are there for replacing the leather/whole armrest assembly? Is there a way to replace the leather without having to order a whole new armrest? Is it even possible to order a new armrest for it?

Lastly, my steering wheel leather is starting to flake off at the top from 9 years of sun exposure, can anyone recommend a really good leather steering wheel cover or wrap to fix that problem? I want something with a good grip that will look appropriately classy.

Thanks,

Jordan

As far as leather cleaning / conditioning / dieing products, I think everyone likes the leatherique product the best:

www.leatherique.com

My 93 has the same armrest yours does, and they are quite expensive. Your best bet is to get it recovered. You may also try:

www.gahh.com

Try the search function on this site for leatherique as there are lots of posts from users who have tried this product.

don't know how to cure the flaking steering wheel

but for the other stuff...a soft scrubber and mild soap and water does miracles

don't rub too hard just enough to clean the dirt off

Performance Products sells a leather steering wheel cover:

www.************************

Not everything is on their website, so you may have to call them or get a catalog.
