Windshield catastrophie

At work the other day, I sprayed some wheel acid on my windsheild, I originally thought that it was diluted engine degreaser ( which works great for removing bugs and stuff), but it wasnt,, anyways,, I let the acid dry on the windsheild,, and the powerwashed it.. but when I was finished, my windsheild was all hazy where the acid was.

Its strange though, because the haze is ONLY where my windsheild wipers wipe,, and i sprayed the acid on the entire windsheild... so whats up?, has anybody ever had any problem like this before, Ive tried everything to get the haze to go away,,but I cant get it to work. The thing that I had the most success with was some wax, i just put it on and let it dry for awhile.. it made the haze a little better.. but it is not gone by anymeans.

I am begining to think that there is nothing ON my windsheild, Ive used every polish i have to try and get it off, but to no avail.. I am thinkin that maybe the windsheild is worn down after years of windsheild wipers wiping on it.. and maybe the acid ruined the more succeptable worn down surface.

Well anyways, thats my situation,, Id appreciate any help whatsoever on this. Thanks!

Try paint thinner. Brother had a car that no matter how much you cleaned the windshield it always had a haze. So we tryed paint thinner and haze went away. Looked at rag and is was balck form whatever was on windshield.
