Talking stone chips

One quick way to get rid of the stone chips from your normal view is to buy the stonguard clear plastic stick-on paint protector and stick it on as this will mask the damaged surfaces without masking the body paintwork. Only a closer examination will reveal the damaged areas. This should also protect the paintwork against further minor damage by those low-flying UFO's. Big stones will not be stopped by this protection layer. I have just resprayed my whole front bonnet, part of the 2 side panels to blend in, the whole front bumper and the side mouldings costing A$1300 approx. including some minor panel beating work. Would have preferred a whole car job though. Also bought the clear paint protector strip, but have been adviced to wait 6 months for the new paintwork to cure.
