Wax out of sunroof seal....
This is something I wasn't able to find in the archives...how does one remove that stiff, white, wax build-up on the felt sunroof seal?
Multpile waxes and polishes have left this seal looking pretty bad when my paint is deep and glossy. I was going to try hot water and a toothbrush, but wanted to know if anyone had any success with another method. Thanks in advance! - Ryan P.S. and a Happy Thanksgiving to all my Stateside and international friends alike

Detailing clay will remove it:

I've had similar problems with the liner on my 123. All I did was use a terry cloth and rub the built up wax off. Took just a couple good wipes with some "elbow grease". Has worked fine every time.

The toothbrush works fine for me.

Just a follow-up: Clay didn't work for me (Griot's Paint Cleaning Caly). Turned the clay nice and black, but didn't remove any of the wax build up.
Hot water and a nylon brush seemed to be most effective and gentle, but was time consuming for the streches I did. I'll try just the towel too before I'm done - sometimes the easiest way works the best Thanks! - Ryan
