What material are my trim pieces?

I have a 1963 220SEb Cabriolet. The trim pieces surounding the upper body below the windows is very dull and I would like to get them to shine. Are they chrome, aluminum or stainless steel? I can't tell.

Red face Ruined

I hate to be the one to tell you, but your car is ruined. Plus, the value has dropped to nothing. So, I'll help you dispose of your car by agreeing to take it off your hands for free. Where can I pick it up??
Kidding aside, very nice Mercedes.
Merry Xmas

2LeftGoofy,
Thank you for the Xmas greeting. If you open up the www. icon on my posting, you can have one of those cars if you been a good boy. A Merry Christmas to you on this fine day.
