Sorry, just rechecked and the one at autozone is Quick Detailer by Meguiers. To add to this, I was mistaken this one for Final Detail, which I have never seen. Only Final Detail is the one I'm familiar with.....................

The One Grand Blitz Wax is truly great. After trying many waxes & polishes both polymer based and carnauba wax based I found this combination that was highly recommended.

First step: Polish car with a glaze like 3M Imperial Hand Glaze and then follow with the Blitz wax. This feeds the paint with nutrients and removes and fills swirl marks. A sizeable amount of work, but the results are stunning and the reward of your labor. Depth of shine and clarity is amazing. On dark colored and black cars this really makes a difference.

I'm sticking with this combination for all my cars, just be prepared for a good workout as it's like waxing the car twice and then some.

Funny you mention the IHG (Imperial Hand Glaze). I've been using the IHG/Blitz Wax combination for a while now. The IHG is also serioulsy awesome stuff!!
The pre-waxing action of using the glaze is really almost a must if you want to get the most out of your wax. I'd NEVER consider waxing w/o using the IHG FIRST.

In case anybody is curious the shot of my SD is right after having applied the IHG/Blitz 'treatment'

Griot's Best of Show. You have to make sure you remove it before it dries completely otherwise it's a b!tch to get off. If it does dry you need to spritz it with the speedshine and it will come off. I've tried everything and it is definitely the best.

I waxed three times last summer with Zaino, then went through the New England winter. I think I power spray washed twice during the winter to get salt and built-up crud off, but when i finally gave it a proper hand washing last weekend, the water was still beading up like I'd waxed it the day before. The shine was also still very much there, though not quite as striking as last fall.

I think Zaino looks great on my silver paint - I can't imagine it looking any better. Others here have done the side-by-side comparison and say Meguiars definitely looked better than Zaino. I believe them, but for me the protection and durability of Zaino drives the decision. I was really surprised how long that stuff lasted.

Beevly,

Can't agree with you more about Zaino's protection. I haven't seen anything come close with regards to protection and durability, if my car was a daily driver Zaino would probably be my wax of choice. My wifes car is our daily and it gets Zaino every 6 months.

But since the 500 is more of a weekend toy I started using Carnauba based waxes to get better depth, gloss and enhance my pearl paint. It only lasts a month but since I'm obsessed with waxing it shouldn't be a problem!

now i'm confused

I can't find some of the products mentioned. For my white 82 benz, I find that Zymol is far superior to Meguires Gold and goes on and comes off easier.

Turtle Wax!! It is easy to apply, easy to buff off, requires no additional pre-cleaning other than a decent wash, is inexpensive and easy to find. And who says women are hard to please !! ha!

Dear haasman

Based on my limited knowledge of paint - I think my paint job is another coat over several and not the best quality. So considering that factor, Turtle Wax still makes the paint look new. I get frequent complements on how "shiny" my car looks from those friends that are not car buffs.

Best Regards,
Marie.

Still would prefer an Aston-Martin.......
