Stained paint
Yesterday I washed the ole gal and found that the paint (white) on my car was stained. It appears to be from road grim, birds, and pine tree debris. These stains have 'ran' and the car looks awful. I tried polishing them out, to no avail. They seem to be 'in' the paint, not on the paint. Ive read some posts about this sort of thing but I am wary of doing damage by over polishing. Any thoughts?
thanks thebern

Give claybar a try, it's designed to remove contaminants polish can't remove. Follow directions and you should be able to remove the stains.

Placo1's right. Clay should remove the contaminants.
If not, then you might have to take it to a professional detailer and get it buffed out with a mild compound.
