props to meg #9 for getting dealership scratches off [PICS]

Okay so I hate my dealership. First they put a dent in my car (obvious), and they tried to blame it on my subwoofer box (inside the trunk???). On top of that, they put TONS of scratches on my trunk lid, which they again denied. I asked them if my subwoofer box did that too and he gave me a dirty look. But, Meg #9 saved the day for the trunk scratches, here are some before and afters like a weight loss comercial:

Holy @#%$ if my dealership did that to my car I would go through the roof, if they went even further and denied they did it I would never do business with them again. I can't believe they didn't offer to pay someone to properly buff it out.

Luckily the #9 (great product) did a great job covering removing the scratches so no big deal but you'll have to maintain it to keep it looking good.

Definitely a night and day difference.

I already told them they'd never touch my car again.

1. They put those scratches on my trunk
2. They put a dent in my back quarter panel
3. They curbed my front bumper!!! Can you believe that?

I took a picture of my car before it went to the dealership, and it shows my front bumper completely clean with no scratches on it. I get it back, and the front left side was curbed. I was FURIOUS. They said they did none of it. That put me over the top with them. I told them they're never touching it again.

That sounds pretty criminal to me.....completely unacceptable!

I wouldn't let them get away with denying it, I'd pursue it and at least make them get pissed one of their techs was careless.

I don't even like taking my car to the dealer anymore, they are careless and I get the repair done and find some minor damage. (well maybe half the time).

I definitely tell my service advisor not to wash the Cab when it's in because it's black and those clowns trash a black paint job with swirls.

Just curious, why do you take your car to a mercedes dealership? Don't you have a good independant shop near you?

I was taking it to an indy shop with a bosch certified technician first. I was with them for about 2 months. Then my front left lower door panel was loose, i told him it was missing a clip. So what did he do? He GLUED IT to the body of the car. That's right, glue. I immediately pulled it out. I couldn't believe it.

I took it to the dealership because i figured they'd have the best experience with the car. Boy was I wrong. Here are the problems i experienced with the dealersship and my car, i won't even get in to what they did to my dads 300SEL.

1. The scratches on the trunk
2. The dent in my quarter panel
3. Curbing the left side of my front bumper
4. CRACKING MY BRAKELINE
5. Deep 4 inch long scratch on my passenger side front lower panel
6. Cracked my center cap on my front left wheel
7. Put 2 deep 2 inch scratches on my front right wheel
8. Broke my center consol glove box lid, it was locked and they forced it open braking it

yes, #4 is correct. When putting my EVOII wheels on, the idiot knocked the brake line, and left it hanging against the wheel and tire. So, when the car was driven, the wheel and tire rubbed against the brake line until it cracked. I lost my brakes doing 45mph because of them. I was furious with them, they took responsibility and paid the damage and labor, but that should have NEVER happened.

They have heard such an earfull from me. It's unbelievable. I didn't think they could possibly do this much damage to my car. They took responsibility only for the brakline. BECAUSE the car was inspected after the wheels were put on, and it was driven a bit, so ware would have been shown on the brakeline, and they didn't catch it, and I told them I would take this to a state level for failure of a proper inspection if they didn't take responsibility for it.

Rediculous, anyways...here I am trying to fix everything and buff everything out.

Currently looking for a good indy shop in Western PA for the car. If someone finds me a good one, my dads 1989 300SEL is going to it, Ricks 500E is going to it, and tommy's 2002 C320 sport is going to it. We're sick of the dealership.

There has to be another shop around there that works on Mercedes vehicles. Good luck.
