Disintegrating rubber??

I have a '91 190e. When washing my car, a black liquid/smear comes up when wiping across the rubber weatherstripping areas. You wipe again more comes up. Its almost as if the rubber is disintegrating?

Is there something I can treat the rubber with to stop this? It makes cleaning a white car quite an adventure.
