Well I gave in and put one of those dashboard covers on , and let me tell you It looks better than I dreaded for all that time I was undecided . The basic blue tuned out to be a nice match and fit , a very easy install with just a little triming on the ends . I also put in new window switches and the interior for the glove box with a new latch and spring . For anyone thinking about the cover It was well worth it . Hans

Was it one of the vinyl ones or the carpet ones? I'm leaning toward the vinyl ones for looks, but the rug ones are much cheaper!

I bought the coverlay one , plastic type. The car interior is almost done , my drivers seat has a few small cracks in it but they are not splitting apart yet. Overall the interior looks great now I am glad with the results. Now I have to fix the pass side fender molding that someone bumped in to me at a parking lot . The 240 smokes to much black out of the tailpipe , that is another thing that has been on the list to fix. Afterwards maybe a little bodywork and a paint job.
