A question for detailing the experts?
I've been faithfully using Sonnax Gloss Shampoo to clean my cars, followed by 3M Imperial Hand Glaze (when necessary) and topped off with Mequiars Gold Class or One Grand Blitz Wax. This works very well but I'm interested in seeing if I can do better.
I've done lots of internet research, called many car care suppliers and read a few head to head reviews of the most expensive products. So I'm going to give Klasse's All In One a try. But I have a question about their sealant. I've read several places that you can put a carnuba wax over the sealant, but I've heard from two sources that a carnuba wax over the sealant will slightly dull the Klasse finish. Therefore, I've been advised to use either the sealant or a carnuba wax (like P21S, Blitz, Pinnacle, etc.), but not both. I'd like to know what other folks use and whether they have any experience with the Klasse product. Thanks! |

Well I can't say I have experience with Klasse but I have heard many that use All In One (AIO) followed by Sealant Glaze (SG) followed by a high quality carnauba like S100 or Souveran. The results are usually phenominal although I don't know how much better they will be over your existing setup.
I'm currently using S100 Shine Enhancing Paint Cleanser and S100 Carnauba (Same as P21S But Costs Less and sold at Harley Dealers). This combination works really well on my Pearl Black paint. I found that S100 is deeper looking, has higher gloss but less shine compared to Gold Class. I do want to try the Klasse products eventually and Souveran is definitely my next wax purchase. If you try them take before and after pics and do a side by side comparison. BTW if your not already a member of www.autopia.org go there and sign up, you'll see that many are using the combination you described.

Regarding S100
I just picked up a can of that from the local Harley dealer, but I'm getting mixed messages as to whether it is identical to P21S. I spoke to one reputable supply dealer who said they are different. That the S100 has less carnuba and is more geared to withstanding gasoline stains. Another reputable dealer that sells P21S but not S100 said they are the same.
Also, how do you post pictures in a thread? |

Sounds like your already well versed in the waxes.
The subject of S100 vs P21S was a heated debate on Autopia for several weeks until someone tracked down the manufacturer and determined that the products are indeed the same. The only difference is packaging, the P21S has a wider can designed for bigger applicators. To post a picture you will need to first reduce the size of the image file to 65kb. When you finish writing your response go to "Attach File" and hit the browse button. Click on the image you want to attach similar to attaching a file when sending email and then hit "Submit Reply" the image should appear.

Two Thumbs Up ... S100 (P21S)
I concur with Placo1 ... the S100 wax is quite impressive, unbelievable on how easy it is to apply, and relatively inexpensive.
Great results so far ... my 12 year old Black Pearl 500 looks as good as the 2003 cars. My $.02
