Tree Sap
Need help with tree sap on a White-1984-300SD..I left the car under the tree for a few months...What will get the tree sap out of the paint...Thanks-Jim Harris

I made a small chisel out of plexiglass for this purpose, then follow up with bug and tar remover. The chisel is harder than the tree sap, yet soft enough so it won't scratch the paint. If the chisel does scratch the paint, it can be buffed out with rubbing compound.

If it's small spots then a claybar will achieve perfect results and clean the rest of your paint too. If the tree sap spots are large (dime sized...etc) then you might consider soaking the area with a cloth dampened with a quick detailer and then wipe over it until it is gone. Can you post any pics?
