The Mercedes carpet mat has stiffer part at the pedal area. Just behind that part, my carpet mat tends to crumple or fold.

How can I have my mat stretched permanently?

There is foamy material on the back. So I did not iron my mat in the fear that I might melt the foam.

Buying rubber mat may be a solution, but I first want to avoid buying a new mat (or a new set of mats).

Is there an aftermarket mat that extends to the food rest like the one in the picture?
