Found the Perfect Glass Cleaner!
Okay everyone, detailing the car today, I used this stuff called "Hope's Perfect Glass..." It comes in a black spray bottle and is seen at Linen's and Things and Bed, Bath and Beyond. I've also seen it online, just do a search. THIS STUFF IS THE BEST GLASS CLEANER I'VE EVER SEEN. I hope you all try it! No streaks, and you can use just paper towels... AWSOME!

a 50/50 mix of water and 90% or more rubbing alcohol is much cheaper and will do the same job.

This is a good thread to add this in - For those with older cars, it makes a huge difference to buff out your glass every year or so. Everyone knows what the view is like after a new windshield You can have that view again. Take out those small acid rain and sand pits, water spots. Easy DIY and very inexpensive (if you have a high speed buffer). This is a good surface to learn about high speed buffing - rather than your paint.

Anyway, much cheaper and better is an admixture of water and ordinary white vinegar.

A 10:1 mix of distilled water and distilled vinegar wiped down with newspaper also works great.
I keep a can of Stoner Invisible Glass in my car, I think that stuff works great too.

I also have used the water and newspaper on windows at home. Yes, it works great. The news print seems to polish the windows. On the other hand I also put in a few drops of dishwasher detergent into bucket of water and then add a little ammonia. Then I use a squeegee or blade like window washers use and this too works very well...no streaking. then I buff with dry terry towel.

I am sold on distilled water mixed with distilled vinegar. I apply with microfiber cloth, and buff with a dry microfiber cloth. Nothing works better.

Newsprint doesn't polish windows. It used to with older types of ink, but now it's just as useful as using printer paper. Personally, I use an MF plus a bit of water. If I need to use a window cleaner, the nod goes to Stoner's Invisible Glass.
