I need some help. I have a '87 300D that I am preparing for a new paint job. I was able to get all the trim off except the trim around the back window. I removed the screw at the bottom but have not been able to get any of the trim to release up along the glass. I don't want to break anything. Has anyone had this apart and is it just the normal metal clip like most cars?

Well the window trim came out. It is just mounted in a rubber molding, once you get it started at the bottom it comes out easily, but it is very hard to get started. It will probably need to be soaped up good to get it back in.

Well I got it all painted, Dark blue. It't about a 5 foot paint job, it looks great at 5 foot away. Dark colors are hard, with the little dust particals in the air, I will have to get out the 2000 grit and do a little wet sanding and buffing in some spots. It shure looks a lot better that the sun damaged paint that was on it ( it came from Atlanta Georgia) at least it didn't have any rust anyware.
