Best Pure Carnauba paste wax?

It's time for me to do the compounding and paste wax thing, again.

My best results (last year), by far, were with Turtle Emerald Series. Covered surface swirls and scratches, and gave markedly better depth and gloss than some others. About $9-$10 per tin.

Should I use this again, or is there a better Carnauba paste in your experience?

Thanks!!

Go to www.autopia.org .
You'll find tons of info on waxes.

There is no ONE BEST WAX that everyone agrees on.
But there are a lot of people like P21S.

As already mentioned there is no such thing as "The Best" wax. You need to determine what meets your particular needs first.

How often do you wax?

- if often then a Carnauba wax is an great option which provides excellent depth, gloss and ease of use. P21S ($22), Souveran ($59), Meguiars #26 ($15 has some Carnauba) are alll highly regarded for their appearance.

- If you only wax a couple of times a year a synthetic wax (sealant) is a much better option. Several manufacturers make great synthetics giving you extended protection but reduced gloss, reduced depth and very high shine (Saran wrap look) Meguiars #20 ($15), Klasse ($35) and Zaino ($45) are often mentioned as top notch synthetic waxes)

My personal recommendation:
If your paint is in good condition with some minor swirl marks and no oxidation I'd try Meguiars Nxt Tech Wax ($15), going on the market February 01 in the US. It hides minor swirls, increases depth like a carnauba and has extended protection like a synthetic. Smells edible too!

What are you using for the compounding step?

Thanks. Since I love the look and feel of real carnauba, I'll stick to that and just wax often (it's good exercise, anyway).

As to compounding, I recommend without reservation: 3M Microfinish. Available at most high-quality parts stores. About $15 per bottle.

I used to work for a car dealer, and their detailing guys swore by it.
