I want my grey panels to be black!

Hi

I have very black 190e with the plastic panels. They are grey and while perfectly okay I'd really like them
to be as black as the paintwork. Whats the best method to achive true shiny black?. Paint? Wax? Hammerite!? I dont want to spend a small fortune or several weekendson the job!

Mike.

The panels can be removed and resprayed to match (color, flex additive and clear coat) by an auto paint shop, then reattached with new fasteners. You might want to consider spraying the bumpers to match as well. If you have the clean area and the tools, it could be a DIY. Check www.2phast.com website for an idea of what can be done.

This may sounds crazy, but I have found peanut butter to be great at renewing faded and dirty plastic.

Next to peanut butter, you might want to try P21S or S100 wax. I use it on the textured black plastic rub strips on my car and it brings out the black without those nasty white stains that other normal waxes leave behind on trim pieces. Might be kinda hard to find the stuff. I had to go to my local Harley Davidson dealer to find the last jar of S100 on the island.....

Good luck!

Last jar at Cycle City, eh? I guess I'll have to hunt down your garage!
