Black trim on 450 SEL bottom

Hey people.....

My 450 sEL's (W116) looking better and better, with the compounding and waxing ongoing.

But the black trim (flat type paint on bottom rockers-sides) is too dull, and not black enough.

Rather than repaint, is there some kind of quick stuff I can do to these sections to set them off and really look black?

thanks for any suggestions!!!!!

Bob

Go to a Harley Dealer and purchase a product called Pig Spit. The product will darken the black and protect it. It can also be used on plastic and rubber surfaces.

To use it you'll need to clean the surface thoroughly, dry it, spray the Pig Spit on it and let it dry. Wipe off any excess and you're done. It will last about 3 weeks on exterior surfaces unless it gets rained on. If you continue to maintain it you'll notice that eventually the surface will start looking better.

Note: This product will have overspray on windy days, so use this first before wiping down the rest of your car. Don't worry about the overspray, it won't harm anything......it just smears on slick surfaces like paint and glass.

Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
