Exactly. Silicone cannot be introduced into a body shop / paint shop. Silicone will not allow paint to stick, causing the paint to fish-eye.

Meguiar's makes a line of products for professionals, called their professional line, that is made for body shops. These products come in the tan bottles, and contain no silicone.

Personally if a bodyshop was that incompetent I wouldn't want them touching my car anyways.

Id rather have a job done right, than not done at all. Im not going to worry about it when the time comes for a paint job; forget about Maaco, I drive a car that deserves the best. That means using nxt, and high quality body shops.

Are you sure of that I use a product called "Last Touch" which is one of there pro products and it contains Silicone.

Last Touch is a new product, and it contains silicone, but it is not in their Professional line.

It is in their new "Detailer" line, which is made for professional detailers, not body shops.

I stand corrected, but I' m only going by what a Meguiars tech told me quote "All of our wax products contain silicone they couldn't be made without it."
