Depending on the type of stains Blue Coral has a product called Dry Clean which works well. Tougher stains may require diluted Woolite.
If the stains can not be removed you can purchase carpet directly from any Mercedes Dealer. You might also try Fastlane but I don't think they sell items like this.

GAHH sells replacement interiors: carpet, leather / MB TEX seat cover, etc.
www.gahh.com You can download their price list via Adobe Acrobat. Front carpet kit sells for: $225. Front and Rear carpet kit sells for: $300. My local Mercedes dealer tells me this place makes OEM quality, even the seat leather.

White kerosene and a brush is great for removing stains BEFORE shampooing
test first you won't believe how great it works. |

I used "Zep formula 505" to get oil stains out of the carpet in my house, forgot to take of my shoes after working on my car... This stuff is truly amazing, something like $3 at Home Depot.

My SD has a Bamboo interior, which is pretty light and the carpet was nasty when I got it. I used Zep as referenced above for stain pretreatment and rented a Rug Doctor with hand extension and used the extractor to suck pounds of dirt out. I took the seats our prior to doing this so I could get to everything. All the dirt came out and with a new set of OEM mats, my floorboards look great! Got the Zep and the Rug Doctor both from Home Depot....

Carpet cleaning
Evan!
I'm not sure about all of the other fixes but I have palomino and I understand your frustration. Remove all the carpets on your car, wait for a nice warm day and take a pressure washer and dampen the carpet. Get a strong fiber brush and scrub the carpet with any good carpet cleaner. Then power wash the carpets in one direction to remove all the soap. Special pressure and repeated flushing of the bad areas will remove the worst stains. If you don't have a pressure washer, go to one of those wand car washes and use theirs. This works every time and I have been pleased with my results. I mentioned this in a previous post and others achieved the same results!

I Agree with Tom - I had a Jetta that I was overhauling for my daughter and the blue carpet in it was stained with grease and oil and was loaded with sand and grit. I removed the carpet on a hot sunny day and pressure washed it while it was clipped to a vertical board - the dirt and sand that came flying out was amazing. I then treated the grease stains and pressure washed again repeated the process 4 times then shampooed the entire carpet and rinsed with the pressure washer and let hang for 2 hours for the water to drain out then layed it in the sun to dry - the carpet looked like new. The carpet came out a greyish blue color and went back into the car the sky blue it was originally. A lot of work but inexpensive to do.

My removeable carpets arent the problem... it is the carpet that is in the sides near the door.. and around the transmission console..

Evan -ALL carpeting is removable - some pieces not as easily as others. I don't know about your car but on the Jetta I had to remove the center console and the seats and door mouldings and found the plastic screw hold downs for the carpets and removed them and pulled the entire front half and back half - a lot of work but like I said labor intensive but cheap. You will most likely have to remove the bottom sill plate at the doors and remove the rubber moulding half way up the door to see what is holding the piece of carpet in - usually there are clips that are hidden by the rubber for the edge by the door and if you take a light and look up at the piece of carpet you should see the fasteners holding it. The only place I have seen the carpet glued down is on some door panels. If you are queasy about removing the pieces from your car - go to an auto wrecker and find a similar model and practice on the scrap car to get the carpet loose - if man put it together - man can take it apart. Look at it this way - even if you want to replace the pieces - you STILL have to remove the old ones - so why not remove them anyway and pressure wash them first?

I understand that all of it is removeable. However the carpeting on the console is glued to a particle board type of material.. If i was to apply high pressure water to this im assuming it would become spongy and fall apart or unadhere itself... thats my concern
