Leather Care

I have been using Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner / Conditioner on the leather in my SL. I'm very pleased, I picked the car up used, and I don't think the leather was ever really conditioned. So it's been soaking up coat after coat, after 4 or 5 it seems to be taking.

But I picked up some 303 Protectant for the wife's car. Say's it has high UV protection.

Should I / Can I put that over a good coat of Meguiars.

I've heard people have used 303 on leather, but it's typically the modern painted leather not the stained leather on older vehicles. I believe the early 90's SL's had stained leather. You might want to get on 303's website and determine if they recommend the product on leather and what types of leather is it compatible with. If it's not shown I would email them. Better to check than to risk using something that may cause future harm.

IMO if you want to improve your leathers condition significantly you might consider Leatherique. It is an absolutely amazing product worthy of the praise everyone gives it. After Leatherique treatment you can continue with the Meguiars on a monthly basis. I've used at leat 5 off the shelf leather products including the Meguiars products and Lexol and there is no comparison. Hope this helps.
