Removing detailer interior shine stuff?

Just picked up a ML320 for mum. Problem is the guy had it detailed and it looks like they used a spray gun filled with motor oil to do it. The steering wheel and seats are so slik it's dangerous. I tried Meguires rubber & plastic cleaner/conditioner, and their leather stuff but it didn't help much. Before I risk using something like 409 kitchen cleaner I thought I'd consult you more experienced folks.

Thanks

Try Lexol leather cleaner for the leather. They also have a vinyl cleaner but i have not tried it.

You could just use watered down simple green or that 409 Kitchen cleaner.. problem is, it leaves the smell..

On Rubber, Vinyl and Plastics I use Blue Corals Dry Clean. It smells good, is safe and it removes the oily residue. You'll want to use a product like Vinylex to protect the vinyl/rubber surfaces after you've removed the oily protectant.

On Leather Holson's suggestions is excellent, Lexol Leather Cleaner will remove any of the residue and leave it ready for conditioning.

I managed to get most of it off with the micro fiber cloths I bought at CostCo. It took some elbow grease, and I clogged up four towels doing it. Now with 95% of that crap off it looks like a normal detail job. Still too shiny for me, but looks 10X better and it probably shaved 20lbs off the cars weight. Another point for micro fiber!

I'll try the other products you gentleman recommended when I have the energy to tackle it again. Thank you

My pet peeve is when detailers use shiny (oily/silicone) stuff on the dashboard allowing the sun to reflect back onto the inside of the windshield causing LOTS OF GLARE...
