Which floor mats should I buy?

The floor mats on my car are probably original and need to be replaced on my 95 E320. The driver's mat has a permanent ruck in it that can't be removed. All mats have a black rubberized backing that is crumbling and making a mess on my beige interior. I'll vacuum the car and next day there's a mess. Are there any mats out there better than these original mats?

Maybe not OEM mats

I have a 1995 E320 with a parchment interior and my OEM mats do not have a black rubberized backing. I can’t imagine a better mat than OEM. Maybe your mats are not OEM.

You may be right. I bought my car two years ago. Before that it was a Florida car. The mats have the logo so I simply assumed it was original. How are the OEM ones constructed? And better yet, where's the best place to get them?

Performance? or Dealer

7 years ago, I purchased my car from the dealer. They installed new floor mats as part of the purchase, because the original mats were missing. The mats are still almost like new. It looks like Performance has the OEM mats, but it might be just as good to go to the dealer. I’m not sure if the Performance mats really are identical and I am not sure you save much by buying from the Internet. I will probably just buy them at the dealer, if I ever need new mats. I also use the rubber all-weather mats, that I purchased from the dealer.

I just got a set of OE mats from the dealer a few weeks ago. I like them I think they fit the car better then the aftermarket ones. The quality also seems to be high, dealer charged $98.00 for a set of 4.
