Side molding question
I bought new side moldings (83 300D) and when I went to put them on using the supplied "buttons" (bullet shaped as opposed to the shorter tube shaped ones that were there) they didn't snap in firmly as I expected they would. Are the supplied buttons correct and I just need to push the molding harder? or should I try to find a source for the short tube shaped ones?

I have heard from various sources, more recently a MBZ restoration company im contracting for body work, that replacement side moldings arent going to fit exactly like the original ones did, and that if I were to replace them that i shouldnt be suurprised if theyre a little loose. Apparently the company that used to manufacture the original style clips and trim pieces is no longer in business..... who knows....
