Trailer Hitch Questions (1985 300TD)

A few months ago I scored an original trailer hitch from a 123 sedan. At the time, I didn't realize the bumpers were different. I did not get the bumper (I think the car was a Euro version as the bumper did not have the "shocks") so this weekend when I installed the hitch of course the TD bumper would not fit! Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can resolve this issue? I suppose a Euro TD bumper (to retain the backup lights) would be like hen's teeth! HELP!!!

I also am having the ball part reworked as the original ball is 1 7/8" and all my couplers are 2". Before anyone jumps my case about pulling a heavy load, I plan to only pull a small trailer to transport my grandson's small 4-wheeler between his house and mine.

I did a search but could not find an answer to my particular situation. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks
Jerry

Step 1: Buy a hitch that fits your car from www.hitch-web.com .

Step 2: Sell me the Euro sedan hitch.

Palangi,
If you are really interested in the hitch, PM me or call 501-952-8754 and we will talk. I plan to build or buy a hitch that will fit using the original bumper. Don't want to butcher the original hitch or bumper.

As you can see from my profile, I live in Arkansas, I have children in Hurst and Burleson. I go down there quite often and could bring the hitch that far. Is "Ignert Ridge" close to one of these areas?

Call me, I'll let the hitch go for what I have in it.
