How about 881, Silberdistel Metallic? It's not seen too often, and looks real nice.

My goal for the "Blue Babe" is first to get her mechanical shape back in order. Then beautify her by sprucing up her palamino interior. I'm not looking for the showroom but a "patina".

She has come a long way in the last 2 years of ownership. My first Benz and so far all the labor has been mine.

Enhancements such as all new suspension components in the front and subframe bushings have made a major difference. Next will be new sway bar bushings and arm bushings, front and rear. She is really starting to ride and handle nicely.

Her heart (engine) is starting to get in shape. Most of the work there has been correcting a sad attempt by the PO to eliminate all the emissions without knowing what they were doing. The vacuum was set up where the EGR was opening anytime you accelerated. I probably will end up pulling the intake in order to get more of the carbon out of her. Despite all this she starts easily and purrs when she runs.

The interior would make a Benz lover cry when I bought her. Originally, it was velour but it looks as if someone kept a dog in it ( two large holes). I spent 3 days cleaning spilled soda pop out of the carpet and seats. She may be getting new sheepskin covers front and rear until I find a way to resolve some of this.

So far not a lot of $$$ have been spent. She has been a lot of work but I can readily say that she gets sweeter every day.

Thats a little light for me actually.. I was leaning towards something like Eibengrün ( Forest Green) (822) or Zypressengrün Metallic (Cypress Green) (876)

My goal is to make my car mint, I don't want it to look like new just almost new. It has come a long way but still has a ways to go. I think in 2-3 years with a lot of time and $$$ I can accomplish this. Mechanically it is almost their.

My goal when reaching semi retirment was to drive a nice old MB and learn how to keep them running. After 3 years we have a couple of nice 240Ds and my wife loves them. (big points) I learned how to rebuild the engines and keep most systems going thanks largly, to this group and a few friends around the neighborhood. Thanks YAL

Except for some decent headlights my goal is to keep her original and toast her on her 30th birthday. She`s getting a new paintjob this week and will be garaged from now on.

Love this car!

Do like I did and change out the DOT sealed beam's for a set of 7" round H4 Hella's. You can get them with or without the city bulb, and you will not believe the difference at night. I chose the standard E-CODE Hella's without thecity light.

Here is a link where I got mine, Hella Light's $70 for both was well worth the money and leave's the car with the US look.

I would like you to try and find a cop out on the road that would know the difference. I don't think a person could tell the difference in oncomming traffic. The cars have never failed an inspection even with the light machine thing they roll in front of the lights. They are not poorly adjusted blinding other drivers, and I don't use over wattage bulbs either.

Many inspection stations don't even check the aim of the headlights anymore....
