240 injection pump and vacuum diagram
Hi,
I've just changed out the engine in my '82 Euro model with an american 240 engine. I need to use the Euro pump because the throttle linkage is a bit different from the us model. I have a few questions if anyone can answer. First, the pump on a 240 can be removed without removing the oil filter housing, can't it? Second, does anyone have a vacuum diagram for the Euro 240? I really messed up trying to use the us pump and I've lost where I was with the old setup. The Euro has some different plumbing especially with the vacuum setup for the auto tranny. I've got the MB manual on disk and I can find reference to the Euro pump but I can't seem to find a vacuum diagram for the Euro. Thanks for any info. |

I think I can answer the first question. I removed an IP from a 240D junkyard car without any unusual problem, if I recall correctly.

If you don't get a better offer, I can take some pictures of the vacuum plumbing. (84 240D w/manual trans.)
