I wouldn't say that. - just looks like someone said they would pay way too much for a car with a serious engine problem. If the head gasket went, it could have starved the oil supply and caused enough damage to show up a month or a year from now. Just because someone validates P.T. Barnum on e-bay doesn't mean it should be you.

Anybody that would pay that much money for that car with 300K miles and bad engine is smoking crack. Unbelievable.
$1700 was more than a fair offer for that car. |
I don't understand it myself.. IMO, it's a $4000 car running properly.

A fool is born every minute. Turbodiesel, I wouldn't sweat it. An idiot is about to be parted out of their money.

This bidder must have an engine in his yard or something. That or he will be a no show. He has good feedback though. Hell who knows anymore. I stll cant believe I sold my 300d for what I did. Keep lookin.
My realtor has a nice 86 300e that has a blown head gasket. She ran it hot this summer. Has new A/C components, Michelins, transmission, new original color paint job. Super solid car. I may offer her $500 for it. I figure a gasser is cheaper to buy than a diesel engine. Later. |
