Need help with line from radiator.

Hi, I was dumb enough to let someone drive my mercedes (1987 300D Turbo) and they ended up rear ending somebody. It was not a bad collision, but bad enough to bend the grill and break a headlight. As a result the grill punctured a hole in the radiator leaving me no choice but to buy one. So instead of paying $350. on a new radiator a friend found one for me for a lot cheaper.

He also installed it a couple of days ago. When I decided to look at it I noticed that it looked a lot different then the original one that was in there. The original radiator was all aluminum, and the one he installed is made by Behr and is made of all plastic. I could not find the sticker that has the part number on it?

When I looked closer at the one he installed I noticed that he didn't connect the thin line on the bottom that is threaded on both the radiator and the other side. So now I need to replace this peice (if it's the right radiator) or have one made. So finally my question is does anybody know what the spects are on this hose so I can get a new one made, or is it just the wrong radiator to begin with and should get a new one?

BEHR is the original equiment radiator manufacturer. These have plastic tanks.
It sounds like he bought a radiator for a manual Transmission vehicle. How did he connect the transmission cooler lines up?
