Cruise amp interchangeable between W123/W126??
Hello all,
I have resoldered the cruise amplifier in my 1986 300SDL but it still doesn't work. This unit is the 14-pin style with the "mustard" yellow plastic end piece. I don't have the exact part # off the unit in my SDL but I believe it would be 003 545 86 32. I am able to get another unit which came out of a 1985 W123 300TD. I know these are significantly different cars, but the unit is also 14-pin, has the yellow end connector, and looks exactly the same. The part number on this unit is 002 545 91 32. Will the W123 unit work in my car? Thanks! Neal

I have a 1982 123 unit that does not work in my 82 126. I doubt your would interchange either.

I plugged a CC unit from an 82 SD into my 84 D and it worked about as well as the one it replaced, which was intermitant at best. But it did work... RT
